As lead guitar with the Uriah Creeps headbanging band of the year 1981. It is a delight to see faces from the past frozen in time....Neal Kay is Kubla Khan and the stately pleasuredome he did decree.....Steve South London bloody miles from Kingsbury but it was worth it...

Hi,
I used to go to Oscars every Tuesday from about 79 onwards. What a great night it was, who needed Saturday night when we had such great sounds and such an awsome PA. I am still rockin' now I am 41. I just want to thank you Neil for playing such great sounds through the years. My love for music has grown stronger and stronger over the years. You got me into so many cool bands through your Heavy Metal nights. I was the kid who kept pestering you to play Marillion Market Square Hero and when I could talk you into it Grendal. Your a star sir, shine brightly and rock on mate!

The Soundhouse is quite well known amongst the musically inclined here in Madrid, it always surprises me!. Hope to see you for a beer Gerry next time IŽm over. Come on the Blues and keep on rockinŽ!

Well, the Ruskin Arms was the place to be. Where I met all my friends, still see them around as well. Colin spinning the discs, we were Tom and Joe's boys. Some are not around anymore, some are around physically only and a few remain soundly intact. Newbury Park, Oscars, what a lovely night out. Its a Mcdonalds now!! Great people, great music and lovely ladies, not Mcdonalds, Oscar's you fools!!

I was a regular at the Ruskin Arms, and The Standard in 1980/81, and was instrumental in Neal coming out to Colchester for a short but wonderful period in the 1981.I had many great nights which will remain with me forever. I had a great time and look forward to being at my first Soundhouse reunion in December. Hopefully only the waistlines and hairlines will have changed - the music should be just the same. I hope my back can stand it. Roll on December 3rd. John

Just found my way to this newly formatted pristine site a job well done, even more shocked was I when looking at the gallery photos who do I see but me and the wife at a reunion and also a at the Clay Pigeon. How we change down the years, keep up the good work, this site just gets better with each reincarnation.

I echo what German has said. If it wasn't for Neal and his passion for HM, it would not have a place in history like it does now. The Soundhouse lives on, as does the Bandwagon, in our hearts, as long as we keep on rockin' and passing it on to our children. Long Live Rock'n'Roll! Cockneys on Tour!!!!

Stand proud! Coz we ALL made history! They though we were funny, wierd, outragious but little did they know we were the start of what has now become a worldwide community. In the 70's there were few headbangers now it's global! We and more than a few HM bands (they know who they are) have a lot to thank the "Bandwagon" for, now alas resting in peace. BUT it's not the venue that makes the community but rather the people and we are still marching on! Cockney's on Tour!

It's been over 20 years. The Prince has gone and with it our old home "The Bandwagon". We and more than a few HM bands have a lot to thank it for. BUT it's NOT the venue but rather the people who build communities. Our's in unique! Our Headbanging antics where a source of amusement in the early days (70's) but little did they and indeed we know that we were starting a new "cult" that has spread worldwide! I am proud to have been a part of it! Many thanks to you Neil and all involved for starting all this and keeping it alive!
